EXECUTIVE PROFILES David R. Banks Beverly Enterprises is the leading provider of post-acute healthcare in the United States. Since its founding in 1963, the company has grown from a small group of California nursing homes into nursing and rehabilitation facilities, transitional acute-care hospitals, institutional and mail-service pharmacies, assisted living centers, and hospice and home health centers. David R. Banks is Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of Beverly Enterprises Inc. He joined the company in 1976 through the acquisition of Leisure Lodges, Inc., where he had served as Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Banks was appointed to the Beverly Board of Directors in 1976, became President in 1979, and Chief Executive Officer in 1989. He was elected Chairman of the Board in 1990.
